The apartment is all on one level beneath the thatched roof. Warm wooden ceilings, wide floorboards and sloping ceilings shape every room. Two bedrooms, each with a large bed, one of them with a desk and work space. The living room has a large corner sofa with a pull-out bed, a dining table with wicker chairs and a balcony door opening onto the green. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a handheld showerhead, an illuminated mirror and underfloor heating. The centrepiece is the private sauna in the hallway — a wooden cabin with a glass door and digital controls. One important note about the kitchen: the apartment has a compact kitchenette with two hotplates, a fridge with freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, coffee machine as well as crockery, cutlery and glassware. Pots, pans, oven and microwave are located in the shared kitchen on the ground floor — that is where cooking happens. Anyone planning to cook properly does so downstairs. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.
